Whipped cream is amazing and service is great
Cheapest place on the Block for Ice-Cream. My sons loved their milkshakes. I had a Sundae and it was awesome. Always a great time. Line was out the door but it moved fast. Great service
Decent ice cream, would deserve 4 stars but any place that only accepts cash deserves at least 1-star off their rating
Could possibly be the best ice cream on the island. Cash only. Efficient, friendly staff.
Incredible homemade ice cream. Lots of flavors.
jesus christ. this ice cream is RIDICULOUSLY good. like too good to EXIST. how does this happen. the only reason people go to aldos is for the shorter lines. only day trippers and tourists go to ben and jerrys. the ice cream place is the superior ice cream place. also it's great for confusing others: "i was at the ice cream place" "which ice cream place" "THE ice cream place"
Awesome. Staff was polite and quick. Food was good. A must visit when on Block Island.
Old fashioned ice cream store. The smells and tastes of a bygone era.Nice to eat your treasure outside.Seating is pleasant.Watch the world go by.
Best ice cream ever
Most popular ice cream shop on the island. And for a good reason. It's the best!
Lots of variety of flavours
Nothing special...go to ben and jerry's for better ice cream. They do have some great baked goods...
Good ice cream, can have long lines and slow service at times.
A must stop and visit place when visiting Block Island, have been enjoying their ice cream for years and years.
Good ice cream
Very good ice cream, sundaes are delicious here. Real whipped cream, great toppings, huge variety of flavors. This is the place the get ice cream on Block Island.
Hot peanut butter sauce!
Big servings, good selection
On an island that is everything but ageist you come across “the ice cream place” that rudely confronts you with the fact that Peter Pan is just a tale, as if looking into the mirror isn’t enough. Why can’t an adult order a kiddie cone? All you want is just a break from American excess and in some way a belief that the good things from childhood never change. The ice cream on the island is all the same, been to them all, and this place is just a bit too snobbish for someone of any age when they make you remember that we do grow up and that the difference of 25 cents is much more important to their bottom line than your sense of nostalgia and your first love of ice cream. It’s not always about the taste but about how it is served and this place serves and sells it the worst.
There is no better.
Good place to have Ice cream .
This place is heaven on earth (for any ice cream lover)! We ate here at least 4 times in our 1-week stay. Tried numerous flavors, all excellent (blueberry oat crumble, cherry, coffee oreo, snickers, chocolate peanut butter, Milky Way, ginger, moose tracks, banana, extreme chocolate (SO CHOCOLATEY)). The waffle cones were a real treat too (made in house)! Would give 10 stars if we could.
The best Ice cream shop on the island! Amazing customer service, and wonderful ice cream!Always a favorite
Best Ice cream on the island!
Some flavors are delicious, others ok. Friendly service.
Good very good!
Lots of flavors and on my favorite island. Still open past Labor Day!
Best ice cream in the northeast. The moose track flavor is the best. They don't "cheap out" on the extras in the ice cream. So good!
Simply good ice cream and in-house waffle cones; worth the wait if there's a line.
Best ice cream on the island!
Creamy delicious ice cream and friendly staff!
A Block Island tradition! Sure, there are other places to get ice cream but THIS is the place!
Delicious ice cream for many decades!
Buy ben and jerrys instead itll be better and youll save some money
Ice cream very average. Prefer Ben and Jerry over this place.
They have tons of ice cream choices. Homemade waffle cones, plus homemade vanilla and chocolate whip cream. Also great sundaes. Weena always gets the brownie sundae
The “fresh squeezed” lemonade tasted like it was all only lemonade juice you get at the store, so Bitter, bad service slow as a heard of turtles.
I don't know what it is about being on an island, but it usually means I am not leaving until I get a scoop of ice cream on a waffle cone. Now there are a lot of spots to get ice cream within a small radius. Do not get distracted. Go to the ice cream place. They make homemade waffle cones that are worth the visit. The ice cream is great as well, I recommend the cowabunga flavor, it seemed like a favorite considering they were towards the bottom of the barrel. My only complaint is that it was $6 for a single scoop of ice cream, but it was a good size scoop and I was happy with my ice cream.
There is no better ice cream shop on Block Island in terms of quality of ice cream and ambience combined. Really cute place. It can get super busy, but lines move relatively quickly.
Waling around the island makes one feel they're justified in straying from the diet. Ice cream and in particular, milk shakes are fantastic! And just a few steps from watching the ferry come in.
